Members

JUDr. Eugen Zathurecky, an advocate

Renders legal services through the limited liability company Zathurecky InPaRtners, Ltd., in which he acts as a partner and an executive. He was born in 1959. He is a graduate of the Law Faculty of The Comenius University in Bratislava, between 1985 – 1993 he acted as a judge at the District court in Banska Bystrica, between 1993 – 1996 was a judge at the Regional court in Banska Bystrica and between 1996 – 2001 worked as a director of the Legislative and Legal Section of the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic. He supervised drafting of the Act on the Protection of Topographies of Semiconductor Products, Act on Patents and Supplementary Protection Certificates as well as of the Amendment Act on Trademarks. As a representative of the Slovak Republic, he participated at the sessions of the Standing Committee on the Law of Patents and the Standing Committee on the Law of Trademarks, Industrial Designs and Geographical Indications of the World Intellectual Property Organization in Geneva. Since 1 august 2001 he has been a member of the Slovak Bar Association. He is a co-author of a book titled "Trademarks" published by the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic in 2001. He regularly gives lectures and publishes in professional journals. Also, he has prepared a commentary to Act on Patents of which separate part were published in the Intellectual Property Journal.

JUDr. Romana Zathurecka, a patent attorney

was born in 1964. She is a graduate of the Law Faculty of the University of Jan Evangelista Purkyne in Brno (presently The Masaryk University). She has worked in the area of industrial property since 1996, between 1996 – 2004 she worked at the Industrial Property Office of the Slovak Republic, being promoted into positions such as an expert of the Trademarks and Designs Section – the Head of the Independent Section of Erasures and Objections – the Head of the Appeal Section – the Director of the Legislative and Legal Section. In 2004 she started working in the Advocate, Patent and Trademark law firm Záthurecký & Partners, since 2009 working as an independent patent attorney.
